Peoria woman beaten outside Y-town business
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Peoria woman was beaten Tuesday outside of her Youngtown business, where a man stole her car, drove it to Buckeye and set it on fire, police said.
Youngtown Police Chief Kimberly Johnson said the woman, whose name wasn't released, went to her job around 4:30 a.m. in the 12600 block of North 113th Avenue. The suspect, who wore black clothes and a mask, attacked the woman and left her unconscious outside of the building.
Johnson said the man told the woman "if he didn't get what he wanted then he would kill her."
The woman eventually woke up after the suspect left and called the authorities. She suffered multiple bruises but was treated and released from Boswell Hospital.
Authorities found her car torched in Buckeye, Johnson said. The attack is still under investigation.
