ABT presents Spanish ‘Nunsense’

Arizona Broadway Theatre, in association with Bru's Musical Theater, presents a one-night-only Spanish version of "Nunsense," titled "Sorpresas," at the Peoria theater. During the show, subtitles in English will be shown on a screen to accommodate bilingual and multicultural audiences.
Directed by Gerardo Bru, owner of Bru's Musical Theater, this special production of "Sorpresas" stars renowned actress and opera singer Greta Skelly, Julia Ceron, C. Urtubey and Rosalinda Duron.
The show is a fund-raiser, with a percentage of the proceeds going to Advocates for Latin@ Arts & Culture.
In 2005, Bru's Musical Theater produced its first full-length version of the musical "Nunsense" in Spanish and English, with two different casts and a live orchestra.
Bru's Musical Theater's production of "Sorpresas" at ABT will use the props, sets and costumes created for ABT's production of "Nunsense."
Ticket prices are $98 if purchased in pairs, and $128 for single tickets. Prices include a three-course gourmet dinner. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30. A dozen Latino artists will exhibit their paintings in ABT's Encore Room during the evening. Additional guest artists and surprises are planned.
